Hey Jeremy,
I saw your post about the B-boy Bootcamp 09 on Ozbboy a few weeks back and I was very interested in it.
Me and 2 other friends have been breaking for fun for a year or so now and we decided to enter our first competition this year.
When I read about the B-boy Bootcamp I thought it would be a great opportunity to start breaking seriously.
However, when I asked my friends about it, they said it was too expensive and didn't want to go.
My point is, should I keep trying to convince my friends or should I just go myself?
Zhi from Sydney.
Hi Zhi,
It's not expensive if you look at it in the right light.
I'm currently bboying in Japan. My airfare here was $400 AUD, and my accommodation is about $250 AUD per week, and I'm here until March.. It works out about $2.5k in accommodation, plus the $400 I spent on an airfare here...
My last trip to the states was around 6k AUD all up..
So in reality $395 learn from Poe, Ruen & David is damn cheap.
So my advice, is to go to the bootcamp, learn as much as you can.
Your friends really are missing out on an opportunity if they don't go.. But hey that's on them..
Peace
